Silvercore is made by hand in Germany, and as the name implies, features pure silver wire transformers in the higher end models. These toroidal transformers are available in a wide range of types with different step up or gain ratios, and different impedances to suit virtually any moving coil cartridge. The MC One to Ten is the entry level product in the Silvercore line. As the name suggests, the One to Ten is a copper toroidal step up with a one to ten ratio, suitable for cartridges ranging in output from approximately .3mV to .75mV and having a nominal impedance of 100 ohms. This transformer can be used with cartridges having an internal load of up to 50 ohms, and is asymmetrically grounded to a central post. The 1.5mm highly polished stainless steel case is non magnetic. ▪ Dimensions in mm 120 x 100 x 60 ▪ Weight 800 grams. The Silvercore MC model range encompasses step up ratios from 1:10 to 1:30 with a special model for the SPU and similar low impedance and output moving coil cartridges. The Silvercore MC is available in both copper and solid silver windings, and features an enclosure milled out of a solid block of plastic to ensure proper damping of vibrations. ▪ MC100 / 1:10 - This is a typical range for MC cartridges up to 40 ohm and a signal voltage between 250 and 750µV. ▪ Dimensions in mm 180 x 150 x 70 Price- $900 in copper, $1200 in solid silver.
