HEADSHELLS

In the current resurgence of interest in the Denon 103 cartridge, one cannot underestimate the influence of the Uwe wooden bodies (see pdf. link) on the resultant sound. Removing the plastic stock housing of the Denon 103 (see link to Schick’s How To Video) and placing the denuded cartridge in any one of the Uwe wooden bodies elevates this Grandfather of All MC Cartridges to another plane. One that easily competes with cartridges costing thousands of dollars.

Oswaldsmillaudio is now very pleased to announce a new line of headshells from Uwe, entirely hand made, as are the wooden bodies. Each headshell is milled by hand from solid Macassar Ebony. The rods are carbon fiber.

The Denon 103 Headshell is, as its name implies, specifically and exclusively designed for the 103 cartridge. With this headshell, no wooden body is necessary, as it is already incorporated in the design. Twisting the body on the carbon rod allows easy azimuth adjustment. Weight is 14.3 grams. Oswaldsmillaudio can supply the headshell with a Denon 103 or 103R already installed, if you desire.

The Twin Rod Ebony Headshell evokes the design of the classic Orsonics, but without metallic parts except the bayonet connector for the headshell leads. Like the Denon Headshell, the Twin Rod is made of solid Macassar Ebony and carbon fiber rods. Weight is 12.7 grams.

Both designs are available in very limited quantities. These are without doubt the finest headshells available anywhere today.

Please inquire for pricing and availability.
